Located in downtown Boca Raton, Florida, 475 Royal Palm Apartments is an ultra-luxury boutique condominium development designed by RLC Architects, a South Florida architectural design and planning firm.

During Luxaforma's years as an architectural consulting practice, the studio partnered with Jon Sage of 3DCADCO, a Miami Beach-based architecture, engineering, construction, and interior design technology consulting company, to support RLC Architects in transitioning its architectural production environment from Autodesk Revit to Graphisoft Archicad.

The collaboration involved specialized Building Information Modeling (BIM) consulting, development of customized office templates, staff training, and implementation of new documentation workflows. The objective was to establish a coordinated BIM environment tailored to RLC Architects' design and production standards while supporting a smooth transition between software platforms.

Selected as one of the firm's first projects to be documented in Archicad, 475 Royal Palm Apartments provided an opportunity to apply these new workflows to a sophisticated luxury residential development. Luxaforma's consulting services supported the adoption of the new platform and its integration into the architectural documentation process, helping establish a foundation for greater consistency, efficiency, and collaboration across future projects.

Situated along the Atlantic coastline of Jupiter Island, Florida, the 51 North Beach Residence is a contemporary oceanfront home designed by Hughes Umbanhowar Architects. The residence brings together striking modern architectural forms, expansive glazing, and carefully integrated indoor-outdoor living spaces, creating a distinctive architectural response to its coastal setting.

Designed across two elevated residential levels above a ground-level garage and entry, the approximately 7,500-square-foot residence features generous entertaining spaces, multiple guest suites, and a private upper-level primary suite. Expansive terraces, an oceanfront swimming pool, a lap pool, and integrated water features establish a strong connection between the architecture, surrounding landscape, and Atlantic Ocean.

The architectural composition balances bold geometric volumes with horizontal planes, transparency, and carefully articulated building elevations. Its design responds to the property's unique coastal conditions, including flood elevation considerations, oceanfront setbacks, building height limitations, and stringent local zoning requirements.

During Luxaforma's years as an independent architectural consulting practice, founder Juan Gomez collaborated directly with Hughes Umbanhowar Architects of Hobe Sound, Florida, working under the direction of the project's design architect.

Juan was solely responsible for developing the project's comprehensive Building Information Model (BIM) and producing the architectural documentation from the earliest stages of project development through Construction Documents. His involvement included translating the architect's design vision into a coordinated digital building model, developing architectural plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, and supporting the integration of complex architectural conditions throughout the documentation process.

Developed by Situ Group, Commons at Swain is a professional office building located within a historic section of Greenacres, Florida. The project contributes to the revitalization of the city's original neighborhood, supporting a broader vision for a vibrant mixed-use district that brings together commercial, professional, and residential activity.

Situated on a site of just over half an acre, the building accommodates eight individual office suites, designed with the flexibility to combine into four larger spaces. This adaptable configuration supports a variety of professional tenants, including medical, legal, financial, and other office-based practices, while responding to the evolving needs of the surrounding community.

During his tenure with Gutierrez + Uribe Architects of Wellington, Florida, Luxaforma founder Juan Gomez served as Project Manager, overseeing the project through all phases of architectural development, municipal approvals, construction documentation, and construction administration.

Working within the firm's integrated design-build environment, Juan developed and coordinated comprehensive Building Information Models (BIM) and construction documentation encompassing architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Through close collaboration with the project's engineers, he helped integrate the various building disciplines into a coordinated design and documentation process.

His responsibilities also included navigating the City of Greenacres site plan approval process, coordinating technical requirements, and managing construction administration. During construction, Juan worked closely with the project team to review progress, address field conditions, and help ensure the completed building reflected the approved architectural design and construction documents.

The Dan Marino Foundation's vocational training facility in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, represents a transformative adaptive reuse project, converting an existing commercial building into a specialized educational environment designed to support young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Developed to accommodate an innovative postsecondary vocational training program, the project reimagined the building's interior spaces to support education, career development, and practical life skills. The transformation required carefully integrating the facility's specialized program within the constraints of an existing commercial structure, creating a functional and purposeful environment dedicated to learning, independence, and personal growth.

During his tenure with PowersSchram Architecture & Planning, Luxaforma founder Juan Gomez served as Project Manager, contributing extensive expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and architectural documentation. Beginning with site visits, field observations, and existing survey information, Juan documented and digitally reconstructed the existing building to establish a comprehensive BIM model as the foundation for the architectural design process.

Working from the project's inception through Design Development, Juan helped translate the evolving educational program into coordinated architectural plans and a detailed digital building model. This BIM foundation supported the transition into Construction Documents, allowing an expanded project team to continue developing the renovation documentation efficiently and consistently.

Developed by Situ Group, Gulfstream Villas, Valeria Villas, and Mathis Villas are three townhome communities in Lake Worth, Florida, designed around a shared architectural unit concept adapted to the unique characteristics and development requirements of each property.

During his tenure with Gutierrez + Uribe Architects of Wellington, Florida, Luxaforma founder Juan Gomez managed the architectural site planning and municipal development review process for all three projects. Working closely with the developer, civil engineers, and land planners, he helped transform individual properties into thoughtfully organized residential communities while navigating complex zoning regulations, subdivision requirements, and municipal approval procedures.

The planning process involved adapting a consistent townhome design to different site configurations, establishing efficient building layouts, and creating cohesive neighborhood environments. Each development required careful consideration of building setbacks, internal circulation, fire apparatus access, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, recreational areas, and required children's playgrounds.

Beyond architectural planning, Juan coordinated directly with municipal zoning and development review officials to evaluate development requirements, explore opportunities for increased residential density, and assess available alternatives for satisfying regulatory obligations, including applicable fee-in-lieu provisions. His responsibilities included preparing and coordinating technical submission materials, participating in municipal and community meetings, and addressing comments throughout the site plan approval process.

Juan also served as a point of communication with the developer, explaining regulatory requirements, development options, and their implications for project feasibility, site utilization, and the proposed residential program.

Courthouse Commons is a commercial office building designed and developed by PBM Development of Boca Raton, Florida, offering professional office environments complemented by thoughtfully planned building amenities.

During his tenure with PBM Development's architectural department, Luxaforma founder Juan Gomez contributed to the building's ongoing development through Building Information Modeling (BIM), architectural documentation, and permitting drawings for office tenant improvements. His work supported the adaptation of interior spaces to accommodate evolving tenant needs while maintaining coordinated architectural documentation.

Juan also contributed to the planning and design of proposed building amenities, including a ground-floor café intended to enhance the everyday experience of office occupants. His involvement included developing the café's spatial layout, operational functionality, and equipment arrangements to support efficient food preparation and lunch service.

Drawing upon his background in graphic arts and architectural presentation, Juan also designed and produced the Courthouse Commons leasing brochure, combining architectural imagery, graphic composition, and visual communication to showcase the building and market available office spaces to prospective tenants.

Set within a distinctive ranch estate, the Dalwhinnie Ranch Cultivation Facility transforms an existing enclosed equestrian arena into a state-of-the-art indoor plant cultivation facility while preserving the rustic architectural character of its original setting.

Designed by Janjic Architecture of Longmont, Colorado, the project preserves the existing steel-frame structure and its traditional log timber facades and weathered barnwood finishes, maintaining the timeless atmosphere of a mountain lodge. Behind this rustic exterior, the interior is reimagined as a technologically advanced cultivation environment, integrating specialized building systems and carefully planned production spaces designed to optimize operational efficiency and growing conditions.

Luxaforma collaborated with Janjic Architecture as a building technology consultant, providing advanced Archicad Building Information Modeling (BIM) support, technical documentation strategies, and optimized project workflows. This collaboration helped translate the architectural design into a coordinated digital building model, supporting the development of complex construction documentation and the integration of specialized facility requirements.
